When you register, your information is added to our database. If the information is similar to a record already in the database (including everyone who has subscribed to a missionary prayer letter or donated in the past), one of our office staff will compare it, and if it really is a match, your information will be consolidated so that you will have access to both present and past information about your donations, etc.
As an unregistered guest, you can still make contributions and set up recurring gifts, but you will not be able to access your giving history nor make changes to your recurring contributions.
Make sure you add the email address firstname.lastname@example.org and the domain of @cten.org to your safe senders list so that any e-correspondence is delivered to your Inbox.

You may also search for a missionary from CTEN’s main website www.cten.org/missionaries. Enter the missionary’s name or alias in the ‘Find a Missionary’ box and press enter. When the missionary’s name appears, click on their name to read a description of their ministry. Make a donation by clicking the DONATE button next to the missionary’s picture. You will be directed to the missionary’s online giving page where you can make a one-time contribution or set up a recurring contribution as described above.
CTEN and Denari Online maintain compliance with all Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). The Online Community uses SSL encryption for all pages. Banking information and credit card numbers are masked in compliance with PCI.
You can find the Bank Routing/Transit Number and your Checking Account Number within the string of numbers located at the bottom of one of your checks. Make sure you are using a check and NOT a deposit slip, since the numbers may not be the same. There are normally three sets of numbers at the bottom of your check, separated by funny symbols. Of those three sets of numbers, the Routing/Transit Number will ALWAYS be 9-digits beginning with 0, 1, 2, or 3 and surrounded by the “:” symbol. The set of numbers that matches the upper right hand corner of the check (perhaps with leading zeros) is the Check Number. The remaining set of numbers is your Account Number.
YES! If you live in Canada and would like to support a missionary that is with CTEN-USA, you can make a contribution through CTEN Canada. Please visit www.cten.org/giving-canada for contact information on giving to the CTEN Canada office. Contributions to CTEN Canada are tax deductible as allowed by the Canada Revenue Agency.
For donating in other currencies, you may do so through the CTEN Online Community by credit card only (not EFT). Please be advised that the contribution amount you enter is in U.S. dollars, and your receipt will be in U.S. dollars. The deductibility of your contribution for tax purposes is determined by the taxing authority for your country.
In accordance with IRS regulations on tax deductible contributions, CTEN retains full discretion and control over all gifts given to CTEN. However, we have direction from our Board of Directors instructing us to use your preference for a particular missionary in determining how the funds are to be used. On occasion, a suggested missionary may no longer be part of CTEN because they came off the field. In such cases we will make every effort to communicate with you concerning the change in the missionary’s status so that you may know how your contribution was used.
